Hong Joon-pyo: “Han Dong-hoon’s sarcasm crosses the line.. You can’t manage the world by being snide.”

Hong Jun-pyo, a primary candidate for the People Power Party in the presidential election, criticized fellow candidate Han Dong-hoon by saying, “You cannot manage the world with petty provocations and superficial eloquence.”

On the 25th, Hong expressed on social media, “What a fateful life. I have ended up participating in two presidential elections triggered by impeachment,” articulating his dissatisfaction with the circumstances.

He further mentioned, “This time, I am participating under the worst conditions with Yoon Suk-yeol’s impeachment election,” and added, “Coincidentally, today I am engaging in a heated debate with a candidate closely related to these two impeachments.”

Regarding the debate between Kim Moon-soo and Han the previous day, Hong noted, “During their discussion, I could not shake the thought of what an unpleasant person Han is, as he mocked Kim for having six criminal records.”

He continued, “Criminal records related to labor and democratization movements are fundamentally different from those of Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party candidate’s unscrupulous records. Mocking them crosses the line.”

Hong and Han will participate in a one-on-one candidate debate for the second primary round this afternoon at 4 PM.
