CJ Logistics Construction Division Wins Contract for Nongshim Ulsan Samnam Logistics Center Construction

**Logistics Center with Area Equivalent to 23 Soccer Fields, 1 Basement Level ~ 10 Floors Above Ground**

(Seoul = News1) Reporter Junwoo Jeon – CJ Logistics’ construction division announced on the 21st that it has won the contract for the construction of Nongshim’s Ulsan Samnam Logistics Center.

The project involves constructing a logistics center with a total floor area of 166,694 square meters (approximately 5,025 pyeong), equivalent to about 23 soccer fields, spanning from 1 basement level to 10 floors above ground. The construction period is set for 24 months, starting in May 2025 and completing by May 2027.

The location for Nongshim’s Ulsan Samnam Logistics Center offers excellent accessibility to the Seoul-San IC on the Gyeongbu Expressway.

Adjacent to the logistics center is a developing railway station area special complex led by Ulsan city, indicating potential for increasing logistics demand.

With the successful acquisition of the Ulsan Samnam Logistics Center construction project, CJ Logistics aims to expand business synergy and explore mutual cooperation with the client, Nongshim.

Moreover, CJ Logistics’ construction division has experience in building logistics centers of various sizes in locations such as Gwangju, Pyeongtaek, Bucheon, Anseong, Hwaseong, and Yongin in Gyeonggi Province, as well as Yangsan in South Gyeongsang Province.

Since 2018, the accumulated floor area of completed and ongoing logistics center projects amounts to approximately 870,000 square meters, equivalent to 26,000 pyeong or about 121 soccer fields.

The company also holds numerous patents related to the construction and operation of logistics centers, including patents for floor leveling and surface reinforcement of structures, assembly and construction methods for PC composite structures, and signage designs for the safety of logistics facility workers and vehicles.

Min Young-hak, the CEO of CJ Logistics’ construction division, stated, “Focusing primarily on the general construction sector, we ranked 44th overall in last year’s construction capacity evaluation and achieved a 5th-place ranking in logistics facilities, reaching levels comparable to large domestic construction companies. We will utilize our extensive experience in constructing logistics centers and patented technologies to ensure that Nongshim’s Ulsan Samnam Logistics Center becomes a hub for K-food exports.”
