In relation to the fatal accident involving the collapse of a structure at Changwon NC Park last month, police have initiated a search and seizure operation targeting Changwon City.
According to the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency, starting from the morning of the 11th, searches are being conducted at three locations, including Changwon City, Changwon Facilities Corporation, and Changwon NC Park.
The departments being searched in Changwon City are those related to safety and sports, and it is reported that the police are reviewing documents related to regular risk assessments.
The police recently carried out a joint inspection at the accident site and are considering the application of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
Earlier, on the 31st of last month at Changwon NC Park, a structure weighing around 60 kg, known as a “louver,” fell, injuring three baseball fans below. Among them, a woman in her 20s passed away while receiving treatment.
