KGM launches the ‘Alpha’, a partially improved model of the ‘Torres EVX’… in the mid-40 million won range.

KG Mobility (KGM) has announced the release and commencement of sales for their upgraded electric SUV model, the “Torres EVX ALPHA,” which enhances the product features of the original Torres EVX. The newly improved model offers an 80.6 kWh LFP battery, extending the driving range to 452 km on a single charge.

The “Torres EVX ALPHA” has received several improvements over the existing model, including an increased battery capacity, enhancing its driving range and adding additional convenience features to boost product competitiveness. The newly integrated lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery capacity has been upgraded from 73.4 kWh to 80.6 kWh, increasing the maximum driving range from 433 km to 452 km per charge. The vehicle’s subtitle “ALPHA” implies “adding value” or “extra,” symbolizing enhanced value.

Additionally, the ride quality has been significantly improved. The vehicle’s suspension system, which absorbs shocks from the road to prevent them from directly affecting the body or passengers, now includes a frequency-dependent valve (SFD valve). This allows for effective shock absorption and damping control even when the vehicle is fully loaded, providing more stable driving performance. Furthermore, the windshield’s laminated soundproof glass, which was previously only applied to the windshield, has been expanded to include the driver and passenger seats in the first row to effectively block external noise, allowing for a quieter and more comfortable driving experience.

The selling price (after tax benefits) is ▲E5 at 46.02 million won ▲E7 at 48.12 million won. Additional savings can be realized with government subsidies of 3.64 million won (based on 2WD 18-inch models) and local government subsidies.
