A nurse shared on social media that they feel like “dropping” a sick newborn.

At Daegu Catholic University Hospital, an investigation has been initiated into allegations of potential abuse in the neonatal intensive care unit following controversial social media posts by a nurse. The nurse allegedly posted content on her social media that implied inappropriate behavior towards newborn patients.

The hospital has identified two additional nurses for further investigation regarding their involvement in sharing these posts. These posts included disturbing captions such as “feels like making them fall” and other comments expressing frustration towards the infants.

The case came to light when a father of one of the affected infants, identified as Mr. B, revealed photos showing the nurse’s posts, which reportedly portrayed the infants in distressing situations with insensitive captions.

In response, Daegu Catholic University Hospital is investigating whether these nurses directly abused the infants. The Daegu Metropolitan Police are actively investigating the case, conducting searches of the implicated nurse A’s residence and mobile phone for evidence of child welfare violations.

Hospital director Kim Yoon-young has publicly apologized, expressing deep regret and responsibility on behalf of the hospital.
