[Economic Times Reporter Jeong Dong-jin] The Constitutional Court unanimously removed President Yoon Suk Yeol from office on the 4th.

Acting Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, Moon Hyung-bae, read the impeachment ruling at around 11:22 a.m. stating, “We remove President Yoon Suk Yeol from office.” The effect of the dismissal is immediate, and Yoon lost his position from that moment.

This decision was made 122 days after the December 3 Martial Law proclamation, and 111 days after the impeachment motion was filed on December 14 last year.

The Constitutional Court held the impeachment trial ruling for President Yoon at 11 a.m. in the main courtroom and accepted the National Assembly’s impeachment motion with the unanimous agreement of the justices.

There were no dissenting opinions among the justices, though some added individual opinions on specific issues.
