Busan National University medical students decide to return after missing deadline… University agrees to accept them.

On the 30th, all medical students at Pusan National University decided to return to classes. Although they missed the deadlines for returning to school, registration, and course enrollment, the university decided to fully accept their intention to resume.

According to Yonhap News, Pusan National University announced that, after a meeting held by the medical students’ emergency committee on the afternoon of the same day, all 600 non-returning students decided to resume their studies.

Originally, Pusan National University planned to accept applications for return to school, registration, and course enrollment for medical students until 6 PM on the 27th. Students who did not return by this deadline were to be notified of their expulsion on the 31st.

However, following the students’ decision to return, Pusan National University opened its online system from 6 PM on that day to accept applications for return and course enrollment.

Although Pusan National University hopes medical students will participate in classes as early as the following day, there are concerns that immediate return might not happen.

Meanwhile, student councils from other universities, such as Seoul National University and Yonsei University, have announced a change in their protest approach from taking non-enrollment leave to a form of protest where they register but still boycott classes.
