North Korea Holds First Major Workshop for Youth League Instructors… Seen as North Korean Version of Controlling ‘MZ Generation’

In Pyongyang, the first intensive training session for nationwide school youth group leaders was held. According to North Korea’s Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) report on the 31st, the training took place from the 26th to the 29th.

KCNA stated that this training session, unprecedented in the country’s history, was organized to ensure that youth group leaders fulfill their responsibilities in nurturing members into ‘young revolutionaries and young patriots.’

The North Korean ‘Youth Group’ is a mandatory organization for young people aged 7 to 14, reportedly consisting of about 3 million members.

This training aimed at leaders overseeing and guiding the youth group is interpreted as an effort to emphasize loyalty to the ‘Kim Jong-un regime’ and to control the ideology of North Korea’s MZ generation.
