Former lawmaker Jeon Hyeon-hee, a member of the Democratic Party, commented on Moon Jae-in being summoned, stating that “the public’s anger has reached a boiling point.”

The prosecution, investigating bribery allegations against former President Moon Jae-in, has reportedly notified him of a summons for questioning, prompting a strong backlash from the Democratic Party. Jeon Hyun-hee, a top member who served as the chair of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission during the Moon administration, criticized on social media, saying the investigation is a clear act of political revenge and persecution. She continued to condemn the perceived bias and unfairness of the political prosecution under the Yoon Suk-yeol administration, stating it has long surpassed the threshold of public outrage and that the end of their reckless actions is near. Previously, the Democratic Party’s “Committee Against Political Oppression of the Former Government” issued a statement claiming that the summons notification to former President Moon represents the final outcry of the Yoon administration, whose end is in sight.
