Kim Jun-ho and his flight attendant wife ultimately decided against having a third child due to conflicts between their children Eun-woo and Jung-woo, as revealed on “The Return of Superman.”

On the KBS2 show “The Return of Superman,” Eun-woo touched viewers’ hearts with a poignant display of brotherly love by giving up his long-desired wish for a younger sister for his younger brother, Jung-woo.

In episode 563 of KBS2’s “The Return of Superman,” titled “I’ll Protect You Forever,” the show featured hosts Park Soo-hong, Choi Ji-woo, and Ahn Young-mi, along with fathers Kim Joon-ho and Jang Dong-min. In the episode, brothers Eun-woo and Jung-woo imagined having a future younger sister, spending time caring for a doll named ‘Choco.’ They also enjoyed dishes like ‘Sweet Potato Corn Pas’ and ‘Glutinous Rice Ball’ prepared by ‘Queen of Dim Sum’ chef Jung Ji-seon, while Ji-woo attempted ice fishing with his father, Jang Dong-min.

To cater to Eun-woo’s deepening interest in siblings, Kim Joon-ho gave Eun-woo a doll to be his ‘younger sister.’ Eun-woo skillfully fed and named the doll ‘Choco,’ announcing the birth of ‘Kim Choco.’

However, Jung-woo was bewildered by the sudden appearance of this ‘sister’ and was disheartened when Eun-woo seemed to be more interested in Choco, even saying, “Choco is prettier than Jung-woo.” Feeling left out, Jung-woo distanced himself, declaring, “Not a sister!”

Realizing Jung-woo’s feelings, Eun-woo recalled his own jealousy when Jung-woo was first born. Eun-woo promptly shifted his attention away from Choco and assured Jung-woo, “Eun-woo also doesn’t have a younger sibling.” Despite being just 39 months old, Eun-woo prioritized his brother’s feelings over his own, showcasing touching brotherly affection. In turn, Jung-woo’s bright smile at having his brother’s affection back heightened the bonds between the siblings.

Observing this, Kim Joon-ho announced, “Neither Jung-woo nor Eun-woo will have any more siblings, so there will be no third child in our family,” confirming their decision.

Meanwhile, chef Jung Ji-seon, a fan of the brothers, visited their home, leading to a humorous moment when Eun-woo straightforwardly remarked, “You look scary,” causing laughter. Jung Ji-seon then cooked ‘Sweet Potato Corn Pas’ for the brothers, with Jung-woo creatively commenting, “It’s raining,” while Eun-woo excitedly asked for more after enjoying the dish.

During the show, Jung Ji-seon and Kim Joon-ho engaged in a cooking competition to win over the brothers. Their loyalty was evident as they repeatedly favored Kim Joon-ho’s ketchup sauce over Jung Ji-seon’s cream sauce, much to her surprise.

In another segment, Ji-woo went ice fishing with his father, Jang Dong-min, playfully inviting fish to join them for lunch. Despite no catch after an hour, Ji-woo humorously suggested, “At this rate, we’ll become the smelt,” and adorably requested a neighboring couple to share their fish, successfully making his first catch.

Later, Ji-woo candidly expressed resistance to eating live fish and was moved to near tears upon releasing them back, wishing them well and showcasing his pure innocence.

Following the show, social media and online communities buzzed with affection for the siblings, appreciating Eun-woo’s maturity and Jung-woo’s adorable antics. Ji-woo’s intelligence and kind-hearted nature were also widely praised.

KBS2’s “The Return of Superman” airs every Wednesday at 8:30 PM.
