“Leading the AI PC Market” … Intel Unveils High-Performance AI Laptop Processors

Intel Korea hosted a ‘Tech Day’ where they unveiled their latest Intel Core Ultra 200HX and H series processors for high-performance AI laptops, aiming to lead the AI PC market. At the event held in Conrad Hotel, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, major manufacturers like Samsung, LG, and Dell showcased new laptops equipped with these processors.

Park Seung-jae, Intel Korea’s executive, stated, “Great AI PCs start with great PCs,” emphasizing Intel’s commitment to advancing platforms and expanding the AI ecosystem with superior performance and efficiency. Intel opened the AI PC market by launching the Intel Core Ultra processors for AI PCs at the end of 2023 and showcased next-generation processors at CES earlier this year.

The newly introduced Intel Core Ultra 200H and HX series offer powerful performance for AI laptops. They feature improved P-cores and E-cores, integrated NPUs for enhanced AI acceleration, and Intel Arc GPUs for better graphics and content creation performance. The Ultra 200H series supports up to 16 cores, significantly improving gaming and threading performance over the previous generation, while the 200HX series supports up to 24 cores, vastly improving multi-threaded performance.

At the event, new laptops from brands like Samsung, LG, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, Asus, HP, and MSI, featuring the latest Intel AI PC processors, were revealed. Demonstrations showcased the impressive gaming, transcoding, and real-time video captioning capabilities of Intel AI PCs.

Park emphasized Intel’s dedication to meeting PC users’ needs, stating that the Ultra 200H and 200HX series would expand the AI PC market into high-performance laptop fields while satisfying traditional high-performance laptop user demands for productivity and content creation. He added, “Intel will lead the AI PC market by providing innovative AI PC experiences through collaboration with the software ecosystem, alongside outstanding hardware.”
