[TV Report = Han Su-ji] Fans of singer Ha Sung-woon conducted a truck protest expressing their dissatisfaction with his agency.
Previously, on the 4th, the agency Big Planet Made Enter announced a birthday event for Ha Sung-woon. The event allowed fans who purchased the mini 8th album ‘Blessed,’ released last July, to enter a photo session + birthday party event scheduled for the 22nd, with only 50 winners.
The fandom reacted strongly, stating it was “deceptive to fans and handled insincerely,” and protested through a truck protest.
Eventually, on the 5th, Big Planet Made Enter announced via Ha Sung-woon’s official account that the fan event had been canceled, reflecting the fans’ opinions. Big Planet stated, “We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. For those who purchased the album to participate in the event, refunds will be processed through the purchase place.”
They continued, “We apologize again for disappointing the fans with this incident and will strive to show a better side.”
However, the fans’ anger has not subsided easily. They modified their truck protest messages to read, “Is BPM’s establishment ideology for the artists or the company?” “BPM that can’t read trends, lacks sincerity, lacks affection, and is full of empty pretension,” and “BPM, the incompetent agency neglecting both off-duty and operational periods for 365 days,” criticizing strongly.
Big Planet is a subsidiary of One Hundred (INB100) co-founded by MC Mong. Artists under the agency include Taemin, Lee Moo-jin, VIVIZ (Eunha, SinB, Umji), B.O., Ha Sung-woon, Ren, performance director Casper, Kany, singer and actor Lee Seung-gi, entertainer Lee Soo-geun, and Bad Villain. The parent company One Hundred includes EXO’s Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen.
Recently, One Hundred claimed that affiliated singer Xiumin, who moved from SM Entertainment, was banned from appearing on KBS 2TV’s music program ‘Music Bank,’ which stirred controversy. In response, KBS stated that the claim was “groundless.”
