Daejeon City Establishes Population Policy Platform: Integrating Information on Marriage, Childcare, and Housing

The city of Daejeon announced that starting from the 17th, they will introduce a new ‘integrated service for meeting, marriage, childcare, and housing’ targeted at young adults and the MZ generation.

This service aims to provide a comprehensive core population policy to address low birth rates, allowing citizens to access lifecycle support information from meeting and marriage to pregnancy, childbirth, childcare, and housing all in one place.

To enhance population policies that young adults can feel, the service was created through collaboration among seven departments across five nations, including the departments of balanced development and information policy.

The integrated service platform will operate in a one-stop information provision format on the main screen of Daejeon City’s website. It systematically delivers policy information by utilizing key public services supporting young adults and newlyweds provided by Daejeon City and the government, and for some services, application links are also provided.

It includes 17 key support projects across six areas: meeting, marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, childcare, and housing. The service enhances features like gathering population policy news and providing lifecycle population policy guidance, allowing citizens to effectively utilize benefits that match their stage in life.

Mayor Lee Jang-woo of Daejeon stated, “I hope this ‘integrated service for meeting, marriage, childcare, and housing’ will be of substantial help to the lives of our citizens.”
