The late Kim Sae-ron’s close associate stated, “She suffered from financial difficulties due to penalty fees and other issues, and experienced severe depression.”

“[TV Daily, Reporter Kim Ji-hyun] Actor Kim Sae-ron has passed away at the age of 25. On the 16th, the Seoul Seongdong Police Station received a report at 4:54 PM that Kim Sae-ron was found dead at her home. It is reported that a friend, who was scheduled to meet her, discovered Kim Sae-ron had already passed away when visiting her home.

Kim Sae-ron was preparing to change her name recently and had completed filming the movie ‘Guitar Man,’ her comeback project, last November. Previously, in May of last year, she attempted a return with the play ‘Dongchimi,’ but faced some opposition and her health was not in a good condition.”
