‘Love and Ambition’ Choi Byung-hak passes away from a heart attack on the 8th.

Voice actor and actor Choi Byeong-hak has passed away at the age of 85.

According to the bereaved family on the 10th, the deceased passed away from acute myocardial infarction in the afternoon on the 8th.

Born in 1940 in Yecheon, Gyeongbuk, the deceased joined MBC Voice Acting Company as part of the second group in 1965 after working at Korea Broadcasting in 1961.

He participated as a voice actor in animations such as ‘Mazinger Z’ and ‘Ultra Exploration Team’, played the role of Professor Kingsfield in the foreign film ‘The Paper Chase’, and was also active as a narrator on the radio drama program ‘Following the Legend Across Samcheolli’. He was awarded the Best Male Voice Actor at the 19th Korean Broadcasting Awards in 1992.

In addition to voice acting, he also took part in significant works as an actor, appearing in dramas like ‘The Third Republic’, ‘Love and Ambition’, ‘Silvergrass’, and ‘Love and War’, making a name for himself.

In 2007, he published the book ‘New Broadcasting Speech’ which discussed ‘what to learn’ and ‘how to train’ based on his experiences for broadcasters and actors. He also published books like ‘The Path to Stand Before the Microphone’, ‘Broadcast Speech’, and ‘Choi Byeong-hak’s Speech Odyssey’.

The deceased is also the father of former MBC announcer Choi Yul-mi.

The funeral parlor is set up at room 1 of the funeral hall at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital in Seoul Catholic University. The funeral procession will be at 7:10 AM on the 11th.
