Gangeung Asan Hospital announced on the 3rd that it received the highest-level Diamond Award at the “WSO Angels Awards” for the fourth quarter of 2024, organized by the World Stroke Organization.
The “WSO Angels Awards,” selected every quarter, evaluate stroke treatment data from hospitals worldwide through the World Stroke Organization, the leading institution in international stroke research, and award those with outstanding performances. Gangeung Asan Hospital was also selected for the Diamond Award in the evaluations for the second and third quarters of last year, marking the third consecutive time it has received this award. This achievement highlights the excellence of its stroke treatment system not only domestically but also globally.
Yang Gu-hyeon, head of the Gangeung Asan Hospital Stroke Center, stated, “This award was possible due to the dedication of all the medical staff and employees at the stroke center who focused solely on the patients,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to provide the best treatment for our patients and lead advancements in stroke treatment.”
