Today was generally clear and warm. However, the weather will change rapidly from tomorrow. Snow will start falling in Gangwon tonight and will spread nationwide by tomorrow morning.
By the day after tomorrow, up to 30 cm of snow is expected in Gangwon and eastern Jeollabuk-do, over 25 cm in the Seoul metropolitan area and Chungcheong, and over 15 cm in other southern regions.
In particular, strong snow of 3-5 cm per hour may be concentrated in central regions, Jeollabuk-do, and Jeju, so please prepare in advance to prevent any damage from the snow.
Tomorrow morning, temperatures will mostly stay above freezing. Seoul and Daejeon are expected to be 1°C and Daegu 2°C.
During the day tomorrow, temperatures will drop 4-6 degrees compared to today. Seoul will be at 2°C, Cheongju and Daejeon at 3°C, and Daegu at 4°C.
On the day of Seollal, Wednesday, morning temperatures in Seoul are expected to be -7°C, and on the last day, they will drop to -9°C.
Because of this, the snow and rain may freeze and make roads slippery, so please be extra cautious about traffic safety.
