**High-performance in-cabin camera module demonstrated**

“‘Innovative parts with distinct value’ will be presented.”

[Edaily’s Ji-yoo Gong] LG Innotek (011070) announced on the 13th that it successfully concluded its exhibition at the world’s largest consumer electronics and information technology (IT) fair, ‘CES 2025,’ held in Las Vegas, USA, from the 7th (local time) for four days.

According to LG Innotek, more than 65,000 people visited LG Innotek’s exhibition booth, located at the entrance of the West Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), from the first day of CES on the 7th (local time) for four days.

An LG Innotek representative stated, “This year, we effectively heightened our exhibition promotion and brand recognition by displaying an 1800-inch mega video advertisement in the main hall of the exhibition center and a 9-meter large banner advertisement on the outer wall of the booth entrance simultaneously.”

LG Innotek focused on the mobility theme at CES 2025. The future car mock-up positioned in the center of the exhibition was equipped with 15 types of core mobility parts, such as sensing, communication, and lighting, capturing the attention of visitors. Alongside, they also unveiled the Nexlide A+, a high-value vehicle lighting module, which received the CES 2025 Innovation Award.

In the private booth, which was expanded by 30% compared to last year, a variety of innovative technologies and converged products combining optical, communication, and automotive technology that address potential customer needs were introduced in an experiential content format.

Particularly at CES 2025, LG Innotek introduced the high-performance in-cabin camera module for the first time, which monitors the driver’s condition by detecting when the person standing in front of the camera closes their eyes and sounding an alarm immediately.

The high-performance in-cabin camera module can monitor the driver, the front passenger, and even the rear passengers simultaneously with a 150-degree field of view, unlike previous products. Notably, it incorporates a 5-megapixel RGB camera, an infrared (IR) camera for low-light situations such as night or tunnels, and a 3D camera supporting facial recognition login and payment functionality all in one module.

When a driver logs in via facial recognition, settings like the radio channel and air conditioning strength, which were adjusted by the previous driver, automatically change to the new driver’s preferences. A North American customer remarked, “It is impressive that all additional features that significantly enhance the driver’s convenience are contained in a small camera module.”

“Nexlide Vision,” developed with LG Innotek’s unique vehicle lighting technology, also received attention for its innovation. This product combines pixel lighting and smart film technology, allowing it to implement not only pixels but also shapes and lines simultaneously.

When a user writes a desired phrase on the pad provided next to the product, it appears on the vehicle’s light grill, allowing attendees to directly experience the advanced communication functionality implemented through vehicle lighting.

After experiencing the lettering function of Nexlide, a customer commented, “If previously the best option was to turn on the emergency lights in the event of an emergency stop while driving, using Nexlide Vision can allow for specific reasons to be communicated to vehicles behind, potentially preventing safety accidents.”

Additionally, LG Innotek showcased a lineup of various core mobility parts such as the ‘next-generation digital key solution,’ ‘vehicle AP module,’ ‘all-weather camera solution,’ and ‘B-Link (Battery Link)’, which combines the ‘wireless battery management system (BMS)’ with the battery junction box (BJB) for the first time in the world.

Hyeok-su Moon, CEO of LG Innotek, said, “We will continue to unveil innovative parts that provide distinctive customer value and become a trusted technology partner that realizes customers’ visions together in the future.”
