Kakao Entertainment announced on the 6th that it has unveiled two new works in its January “New Release Project” lineup on KakaoPage: the traditional fantasy new work “Shadow Covenant” and the romance fantasy new work “Rewriting the Marriage Contract.”
The “New Release Project” is a popular initiative by KakaoPage that presents two carefully selected new web novels to readers each month. This year, they plan to continue introducing both returning works from authors and highly anticipated new releases.
The first work in this lineup, “Shadow Covenant,” is written by Yoon Hyun-seung, known for the fantasy classic “White Wolves.” Officially launched on December 30, this work tells the story of heroes overcoming intrigue and chaos in the midst of war. It attracted attention by ranking in the top 5 of overall web novel views during its launch week.
The second work, “Rewriting the Marriage Contract,” is a new romance fantasy by author Baek Seol-hong. Released on December 31, it quickly claimed the number one spot in the daily rankings for the romance fantasy genre, receiving an explosive response. The story features the third princess, who was oppressed, and a powerless prince from the outskirts gradually finding success together, highlighting the deep romance and growth narratives of the two main characters.
With the launch of these new works, Kakao Entertainment is also holding an event where KakaoPage users are given a chance to win up to 10,000 won in cash vouchers, further increasing reader interest.
