The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Craft & Design Foundation announced on the 18th that they will unveil a video featuring Kim Tae-ri’s hanbok pictorial, produced as part of a project to promote hanbok, on a billboard in New York’s Times Square on the 24th (local time).
The Ministry has been pursuing the ‘Hallyu-linked collaboration content planning and development project in the hanbok field’ since 2020, to extend the reach of the Korean Wave to traditional culture. Last year, actress Suzy participated, and in 2022, former figure skater Kim Yuna was involved.
Kim Tae-ri’s hanbok pictorial will first be introduced in the January issue of the renowned fashion magazine Marie Claire Korea on the 21st.
Additionally, the pictorial video will be showcased on a large billboard at the Citadium in Paris, France from the 23rd to the 29th, and on the K-Culture Screen at the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History in Korea from the 23rd to the 31st.
