Seongbuk-gu, Seoul Rated as an ‘Excellent Institution’ in Civil Service Evaluation

Seoul’s Seongbuk District announced on the 17th that it won the Excellence Award and was selected as an outstanding institution after ranking second among Seoul’s autonomous districts in the ‘Seoul Metropolitan Government Civil Service Administration Service Evaluation’ conducted on the 16th.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government Civil Service Administration Service Evaluation examines the processing and operational status of legal civil complaints and response civil complaints twice a year across a total of 276 institutions and departments, including the main office, business offices, investment and contribution organizations, and autonomous districts, to improve the swift processing of civil complaints and enhance citizen satisfaction.

Seongbuk District has consistently worked to simplify unnecessary procedures through close cooperation among departments for the swift and accurate processing of received civil complaints. In particular, it has promoted the simplification of required documents by enhancing the use of shared administrative information, allowing citizens to submit complaints easily and quickly. The district received the highest marks in all evaluation categories by regularly updating the 120 standard consultation database (DB).

In the previous year’s 2023 evaluation, Seongbuk District ranked third and received a commendation award. This year, it ranked first among 25 autonomous districts in the general civil complaints evaluation category and received the Excellence Award for the final second place.

Seongbuk District Mayor Lee Seung-ro expressed his commitment by stating, “I will continue to make the best efforts to communicate with residents on-site and ensure that citizens can experience real changes in civil service in their daily lives.”
