Volvo, Participates as an Official Partner of ‘Nobel Week’
Volvo Cars is participating as an official partner in the ‘Nobel Week,’ held from the 6th to the 12th of December (local time) in Stockholm, Sweden, and is providing official protocol vehicles for the Nobel Prize winners.
‘Nobel Week’ is a prestigious event organized by the Nobel Foundation, held annually in December since 1901. During this period, lectures, press conferences, award ceremonies, and official banquets for Nobel Prize winners in the fields of Literature, Physiology, Physics, Chemistry, and Economics take place. This year, the award ceremony for writer Han Kang, who became the first Asian woman to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature, has drawn significant attention.
Volvo Cars has been an official partner of the Nobel Week for nine years since 2016, providing vehicles for the award ceremony transportation of the laureates. This year, Volvo is supporting flagship SUV XC90 and the global bestselling model XC60 as the official protocol vehicles.
The first Korean Nobel laureate was former President Kim Dae-jung, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2000. This year, writer Han Kang became the second Korean Nobel laureate and the first to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature, marking a historic achievement. Han Kang is noted as the first Asian woman to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature, writing a new chapter in history.
