Hanseam Paralympic Sports Team competed in three sports: table tennis, tennis, and bowling. Player Lee Jung-sun from Hanseam’s Paralympic Sports Team won a gold medal in the TPB9 women’s doubles bowling event.
On December 11, Hanseam announced that their Paralympic Sports Team achieved exceptional results at the national competition, aimed at promoting sports for people with disabilities and creating social value. The team participated in the 44th National Sports Festival for the Disabled, held from October 25 to 30 at various venues including Gimhae Sports Complex in Gyeongnam. They won a total of 8 medals: 3 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze. Player Cho Kyung-hee secured first place in the women’s TT3 team table tennis event, Yoon Hee-dong won gold in the men’s doubles tennis, and Lee Jung-sun earned gold in the women’s doubles in the bowling TPB9 category.
Since 2016, Hanseam has collaborated with the Gyeonggi branch of the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled to support amateur athletes in table tennis, tennis, and bowling, allowing about 30 athletes to dedicate themselves fully to sports activities.
A Hanseam representative stated, “We are proud that the athletes’ hard work and passion have led to these valuable achievements. We will continue to focus on promoting sports for people with disabilities and ensuring stable training environments for the athletes.”
