Jo In-sung and Han Ji-min meet writer Noh Hee-kyung… Completed volunteer work for 3,600 coal briquettes
[OSEN=Reporter Park So-young] Actors Jo In-sung, Han Ji-min, and Cheon Woo-hee, along with writer Noh Hee-kyung, participated in the ‘Coal Briquette Sharing Volunteer Service’ once again this year.
The volunteer group GilBeot, which supports broadcasting, film, and theater people, and the international relief organization Korea JTS, provided coal briquette support for residents of Guryong Village in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, who are struggling with winter heating, on December 7th.
Writer Noh Hee-kyung, actors Jo In-sung, Han Ji-min, Cheon Woo-hee, Kim Byung-ok, Lee Sang-hee, Cho Hye-jeong, Baek Seung-do, and 145 others spent meaningful time by passing briquettes hand to hand. They donated and delivered a total of 3,600 briquettes to 15 households.
The celebrities who participated shared their sentiments, “We hope that with the small gesture we delivered today, you will have a warm and cozy winter.”
Writer Noh Hee-kyung expressed, “I am grateful that we can come together and help in this way. It was especially nice to share warmth through the coal briquette distribution. I won’t forget the feelings of today,” indicating her intention to continue the event annually.
GilBeot’s year-end coal briquette sharing volunteer service began in 2021 and marks its fourth year this year. In addition, since 2004, GilBeot has conducted street fundraising campaigns with JTS in Myeong-dong on Children’s Day every year, consistently supporting starving children worldwide.
