NHN Waflatt and Jincheon County Sign MOU for ‘Elderly Medical and Care Integrated Support Pilot Project’

Waflat “Continuing to Expand Collaboration Projects for Elderly Care with Local Governments” NHN’s senior care specialist subsidiary Waflat announced on the 3rd that it has signed a business agreement with Jincheon County, North Chungcheong Province (Governor Song Gi-seop) for the effective execution of the “Elderly Medical and Care Integrated Support Pilot Project.”

The signing ceremony, held on the 2nd at Jincheon County Office, was attended by key figures including Jincheon County Governor Song Gi-seop, Jincheon Branch President of the Korean Senior Citizens Association Park Seung-gu, and Waflat CEO Hwang Sun-young.

Through this agreement, both parties plan to lead the digitalization in the field of municipal elderly care by introducing a mobile app-based care platform, a first among project-executing municipalities, within the Elderly Medical and Care Integrated Support Pilot Project.

The Elderly Medical and Care Integrated Support Project is a national initiative led by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, which provides services such as medical care, caregiving, and nursing in the living spaces of seniors. It is set to be piloted until 2025, with nationwide implementation scheduled for 2026. Jincheon County was selected as the only municipality in North Chungcheong Province to operate with budget support for this project.

Under the agreement, Waflat will supply its specially developed local government-focused elderly care platform, “Waflat AI Senior Safety Care,” to Jincheon County. Jincheon County and the Jincheon Branch of the Korean Senior Citizens Association will use “Waflat AI Senior Safety Care” to provide quality care services to seniors and perform on-site tasks such as remote monitoring of well-being and health.

Jincheon County and Waflat plan to implement the pilot project for six months starting from January next year, and will expand the scale and scope of the project in the latter half of 2025.

Governor Song Gi-seop, who attended the signing ceremony, stated, “Through continuous care services utilizing the mobile platform, we will ensure the safety and health of the elderly in the region, helping them live longer and healthier in the community.”
