Korea Toyota launches the 2025 Camry Hybrid… Prices start at 48 million won.

Toyota Korea announced on the 26th that it will officially launch the 2025 Camry Hybrid (HEV) in the domestic market. The midsize sedan Camry was first introduced to the Korean market in 2009. The 2025 Camry Hybrid (HEV) being unveiled is a fully redesigned model of the ninth generation. It is developed with a focus on quality and durability, and its design, performance, and value have been enhanced compared to the previous generation model based on the TNGA-K platform.

With the removal of the basic trim from previous models, the starting price has slightly increased. Toyota Korea has set the price for the 2025 model’s XLE grade trim at 48 million won and the XLE Premium grade at 53.6 million won.

The exterior design of the 2025 Camry Hybrid emphasizes a sleek and sporty look, featuring a hammerhead design that accentuates its low and wide stance, complemented by air vents inspired by racing on the front corners. The interior uses luxurious materials and advanced technology to enhance its premium feel, emphasizing a high-tech image with its 12.3-inch multi-information display and 12.3-inch touchscreen center display.

Equipped with Toyota’s latest hybrid system, the 5th-generation THS (Toyota Hybrid System), the engine and motor output has been improved. The system combines a 2.5L inline four-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor to deliver a total system output of 227 horsepower. It maintains a fuel efficiency of 17.1 km/L (combined) while offering improved acceleration performance compared to previous models.

Additionally, factors affecting the sedan’s ride quality, such as engine noise, vibrations, and wind noise, have been greatly improved through various reinforcements, and enhancements in suspension have strengthened ride comfort, providing a quiet and smooth driving experience.

Furthermore, the upgraded safety feature, “Toyota Safety Sense (TSS),” and the infotainment system “Toyota Connect” are standard across all trims, along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additional features in the XLE Premium grade trim include a panoramic sunroof, head-up display (HUD), heated rear seats, electronically reclining rear seats, and a rear control switch, offering a range of safety and convenience features preferred by customers, including front seat heaters and ventilation, and eight SRS airbags.

Kang Dae-hwan, Vice President of Toyota Korea, stated, “The newly introduced 2025 Camry Hybrid is a model with significantly enhanced marketability, combining high completion drive performance and convenience features. It will be a new choice for customers seeking environmentally friendly hybrids.”
