“Harris Leads Trump by 3% in National Polls”
Harris Wins 4, Draws 2, and Loses 1 in 7 Battleground States… 49% Tie Nationwide

With two days remaining until the U.S. presidential election, a poll result has been released indicating that Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris is slightly ahead of her opponent, former Republican President Donald Trump.

According to The Hill, on the 3rd (local time), the joint poll by ABC News and Ipsos showed that Vice President Harris led former President Trump by 3 percentage points (P), with a support rate of 49% to Trump’s 46%.

This poll revealed similar results to the one conducted last week, where Harris led with 51% support to Trump’s 47% by a margin of 4 percentage points. Two weeks ago, Harris had also led with 50% support to Trump’s 48%, leading by 2 percentage points.

In another poll, Vice President Harris also led former President Trump, showing a slight advantage in four out of the seven battleground states, which are crucial for deciding the electoral victory.

As published on the 3rd, the results from a survey conducted by the New York Times and Siena College from the 24th of last month among likely voters in seven battleground states indicated Harris was slightly ahead of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in Nevada, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Georgia.

In Nevada, Harris had a 49% support rate, leading Trump by 3 percentage points; in North Carolina (48%) and Wisconsin (49%), she was ahead by 2 percentage points each; and in Georgia (48%), she led by 1 percentage point.

Pennsylvania (48% vs. 48%) and Michigan (47% vs. 47%) were tied, while former President Trump led in only one state, Arizona (49% to 45%).

This survey was conducted among 7,879 people in the seven battleground states, with a margin of error of ±1.3 percentage points.

However, Harris’s lead is marginally within the margin of error, indicating a still high level of uncertainty.

In fact, a national voter survey showed Harris and Trump tied, with NBC News reporting on a survey conducted from October 30th with 1,000 registered voters nationwide, released on the 3rd, that both candidates received 49% support in a head-to-head matchup, with a margin of error of ±3.1 percentage points.

This is unchanged from last month’s NBC poll, where both candidates were tied at 48%.

It was also reaffirmed that both candidates have distinctly different support bases among voter groups.

Vice President Harris received strong support from Black voters (87%), young voters under 30 (57%), and white voters with college degrees (55%). Meanwhile, former President Trump was favored by rural voters (75%), white voters (56%), and white voters without college degrees (64%).

The gender gap remains significant, with Vice President Harris receiving 57% support from women (compared to Trump’s 41%), while former President Trump had 58% support from men (compared to Harris’s 40%).
