A fan who made a racist remark saying “Go to China” to Lee Kang-in has been permanently banned.

At a PSG training session, a fan shouted “Let’s go! My Chinese” to Lee Kang-in, which resulted in permanent expulsion from the supporters’ group. PSG announced on their official social media on October 31st that they “do not tolerate any form of racism” and that the fan involved in the racial incident against Lee Kang-in has been permanently removed from the supporters’ group and an apology was made to Lee right after the training.

French media reported that Lee heard this shout during a practice session on October 26th, ahead of the 2024-2025 Ligue 1 Round 9 away match against Marseille. The incident occurred while Lee was greeting fans with high-fives with other players. The media highlighted that referring to Lee, who is Korean, as Chinese is inappropriate and a racist act.

In response to PSG’s actions, Le Parisien reported that PSG demonstrated their commitment to continually fight against racism and hatred through their handling of this incident.
