(Seoul = News1) Reporter Kim Seung-jun: The support languages for ‘Galaxy Artificial Intelligence (AI)’ will be expanded to 20 languages.
Samsung Electronics (005930) announced on the 24th that Galaxy AI will add support for Dutch, Romanian, Swedish, and Turkish, among others.
Previously, it was available in languages such as Korean, Simplified Chinese, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic, Indonesian, and Russian.
Users of products supporting Galaxy AI can download and use the newly added language packs from the settings application.
The language functions of Galaxy AI include real-time voice call translation, immediate translation of face-to-face conversation content, chat assist, translation and summarization support for notes, voice-to-text conversion and translation, and webpage translation.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics is conducting advanced research to make ‘Galaxy AI’ capable of understanding cultures and possessing related knowledge beyond just languages.
The Galaxy AI language model is released after undergoing quantitative evaluation of language characteristics and grammar, as well as qualitative evaluation to verify cultural knowledge and understanding.
