KB Financial Group carries out ‘Kind Sharing Volunteer’ program to support the health of children in Indonesia.

KB Financial Group announced on the 14th that it conducted a volunteer activity called ‘Together KB Indonesia, Kindness Sharing’ in Jakarta, Indonesia on the 12th to support the healthy lives of local children and establish a foundation for co-prosperity with the local community.

The volunteer activity involves providing healthy and nutritious lunches directly made for disadvantaged children in the local community who suffer from malnutrition and growth retardation due to inadequate nutrition intake. Employees from various KB financial affiliates that have entered the local market, including KB Bank (formerly KB Kookmin Bank), KB Securities, KB Insurance, KB Kookmin Card, KB Asset Management, KB Capital, and KB Data Systems, organized the ‘KB In Indonesia Hope Sharing Volunteer Team’ for this activity.

On that day, the volunteer team made lunch boxes consisting of traditional Indonesian menus and delivered them to children in the Kelapa Gading area in North Jakarta. Mr. Lee Woo-yeol, the Bank Manager of KB Bank, expressed hopes that this social contribution activity organized by employees of KB financial affiliates will improve the quality of life for Indonesian children and announced KB Financial’s commitment to continuing various social contribution activities in collaboration with the local community to provide a healthier future for the next generation in Indonesia.

Furthermore, KB Financial is spreading positive and sustainable values of co-prosperity in Indonesia through various social contribution activities. KB Kookmin Bank established ‘KB Culture Library’ in Bukasi Joo to provide local residents with various cultural benefits. KB Securities improved the educational facilities of underprivileged children through the ‘Rainbow Classroom’ project, enhancing the educational environments of seven schools by this year. KB Kookmin Card has been supporting over 2,000 low-income household children with love t-shirts annually starting from 2022.
