‘More Glory’ actor Moon Dong’s mother, actress Park Ji-ah, has passed away.

Actress Park Ji-ah, who appeared as the mother of the protagonist Moondong in the drama “The Glory,” has passed away at the age of 52.

Her agency Billiance announced on the 30th, “Park Ji-ah passed away at the age of 52 due to a cerebral infarction at 2:50 a.m. today. We will forever remember the passion of the deceased who loved acting until the end.”

The late actress, who came from the theater troupe Chamie, began her acting career in 1997 with minor roles in movies such as “Killing Story” and “Maria’s Staying Inn.”

She took on a significant role for the first time in director Kim Ki-duk’s “Coast Guard” (2002) and continued to appear in Kim’s films such as “Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter… and Spring” (2003), “3-Iron” (2004), “Breath” (2007), and “Dream” (2008).

In particular, she left a strong impression on the audience by playing a ghost role in the horror film “Epitaph” (2007). She was actively engaged in acting, appearing in various movies and dramas.

In the Netflix original series “The Glory” aired from 2022 to 2023, she received praise for her realistic acting as Jung Mi-hee, the mother of the protagonist Moondong (played by Song Hye-kyo).

The wake for the deceased is set up in Room 2 of Seoul Asan Hospital Funeral Hall in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The funeral will be held on October 2nd at 10 p.m.
