, ‘The National Heritage Administration announced on the 2nd that the “2024 World National Heritage Industry Fair” will be held for 3 days from the 10th to the 12th at the Gyeongju Convention Center and various locations in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, under the theme of “The Tomorrow of National Heritage Created Together” with Gyeongsangbuk-do and Gyeongju City.’,

, ‘The fair, now in its 8th year since its start in 2017, will showcase the flow of national heritage industry and create future value by redesigning exhibition halls into 5 categories (Conservation Hall, New Technology Hall, Products Hall, Utilization Hall, and Promotion Hall). In addition to exhibitions in advanced technology and research and development (R&D) fields integrating national heritage industry such as excavation and preservation, maintenance and repair, safety management technology and system, artificial intelligence (AI), and metaverse, a total of 112 companies from various fields such as crafts, food, souvenirs, and performing arts will participate in operating 308 exhibition spaces.’,

, ‘Furthermore, workshops for national heritage officials from all over the country and seminars on technology for developing digital platforms based on cultural heritage will be held, and events such as the “Heritage Future Forum,” in which renowned overseas speakers will participate, have been arranged. At the “Heritage Future Forum” to be held at 2 p.m. on the 11th, Giacomo Lanocita, a professor at the University of Pisa in Italy who has made outstanding achievements in the field of decoding ancient Greek tomb inscriptions, and Pat Pataranutapan, a researcher at MIT Media Lab specializing in using artificial intelligence for cultural heritage preservation, will deliver speeches on the theme of “National Heritage with Artificial Intelligence,” exploring new possibilities for development through the convergence of national heritage and cutting-edge technology.’,

, ‘Various experiential programs are also prepared for visitors to gain a more comprehensive understanding and enjoyment of the national heritage industry. Events such as virtual reality (VR) experiences using Gyeongju’s national heritage sites like Bulguksa Temple and Cheomseongdae, a “Cultural Heritage Utilization Experience Booth” where visitors can make souvenirs such as mirrors and keychains, and a demonstration of intangible cultural heritage street food and traditional liquor tastings catch the eye. The fair is free for all visitors, and the opening ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on the 10th.’,
